4th Annual Men’s Retreat



Ascension of Christ Orthodox Church invites you to the 2025 Men’s Purity Weekend



The Retreat will be held October 2-5, 2025

Our annual Men’s Retreat that focuses on Purity of Body and Soul, building true Orthodox Christian brotherhood, and life time friendships with Orthodox Christian Men from all over the United States!



The retreat will be held the first weekend of October.  A Beautiful time in the Ozarks of Missouri!  We will camp in tents by a beautiful spring fed creek, close to the Ascension of Christ Prayer Chapel.  There will be great food, campfires, capture the flag, swimming, and great fellowship. 

         

Main Focuses for the Retreat

  •  This year the focus for our first time attendees is again Purity, Chastity, and techniques to fight against the temptation for sexual impurity, and the insidious ‘Black Death’ of our Day – Pornography.  We will have testimonies from brothers who have successfully turned against this most destructive spiritual disease and have found healing.    

  • This year, we will be focusing on strength: Strength of character, moral strength, mental strength, and strength in suffering.

     

    When you sign up, please choose one of the following activites so we can prepare the proper materials-indicate your choice in the message box on the registration form.

    *Some activities will require an entry fee to cover the cost of the materials as indicated below.

    *Basics in Carpentry and Wood Working - James McFerron ($25) 

    *Basics in Chain Sawing – Paisios and Simeon

    *Basics in Building Pasture Fence – John Mitchell, Alexander Mitchell

    *Building project – Bathhouse or Pavilion (yet to be determined) Daniel Kostromin / Cornelius Mitchell ($125.00)
