Ascension of Christ Orthodox Church hosted Annual Men’s Retreat
The Retreat was held October 10-13, 2024
Our annual Men’s Retreat that focuses on Purity of Body and Soul, building true Orthodox Christian brotherhood, and life time friendships with Orthodox Christian Men from all over the United States!
This year the retreat was held the second weekend of October. A Beautiful time in the Ozarks of Missouri! We camped in tents by a beautiful spring fed creek, close to the Ascension of Christ Prayer Chapel. There was fishing, swimming, great food, campfire, capture the flag, cocoa, coffee and great fellowship.
Main Focuses for the Retreat
This year the focus for our first time attendees was again Purity, Chastity, and techniques to fight against the temptation for sexual impurity, and the insidious ‘Black Death’ of our Day – Pornography. We had testimonies from brothers who have successfully turned against this most destructive spiritual disease and have found complete healing.
This year, we also focused on Principles of Manhood related to married life. What is it to be a Christian Husband and how to be a good husband.

If your schedule is limiting, you are welcome to come late or leave early. The cost of attendance is $75 per person for the whole retreat to help cover the cost of the meals.
